  • Noodles · 2 years ago
The Ron Paul Army advance scouts! No other candidate has support like this. Well done.
  • beermotor · 2 years ago
great article thanks for covering this.  Iowa is the gatekeeper, and we are proud of all the hard work folks are doing up there to spread the message of freedom and liberty to everyone.

  • specsaregood · 2 years ago
Read those books yet? Gotta love that sign.

It is a real shame that the media did NOT followup with the fact that what Ron Paul said and Giuliani found "absurd" was taken right from the 9/11 Commission Report.  How could he have not heard that before?  I guess he didn't read that report!  For somebody that bills himself as tough on terror and a good leader in that regard, he seems rather uninformed.

Nice story It's about time RP received some unbiased and positive news.

    Thanks

And Americans Speak I think this is awesome!!  I love seeing Americans out doing their best to tackle large problems.  It's what this country is about.  Thank you for the article, it's good to see media covering average Americans and the opinions they hold.

    Regards,

Thank you for the article!! I just wanted to say thank you for putting out this article.  Its very good to see some positive Ron Paul articles, especially ones that involve opposing Giuliani.  He has failed to address the issues that Dr. Paul brought up at the debate, which to me, shows he knows he was wrong and he would rather avoid it instead.

I really would like to stress the importance to Iowans out there to get to Ames and show support.  Dr. Paul doesn't have the money that Romney does to buy votes and bus them in from all over the state.  However, he does have a very loyal support base that grows every day and I hope that the meet up groups continue their success.

Great Work Its nice to see some coverage of Paul and I think everyone in the country is going to be surprised by the straw poll.  Iowans are smart and savy when it comes to politics and I believe will choose Dr Paul over all others.

    Blowback Headline should have been:

"Rudy learns the meaning of Blowback"

  • shrugged0106 · 2 years ago
nice job and thanks Thank you of for the fair write-up on Dr. Paul's Iowa support wing.  If more would do the same, the general public will quickly see that Dr. Paul is their one and only cnadidate.

Bless you for what you have done in aid of that goal.

The Ron Paul Revolution is Popular! The Ron Paul Revolution is Popular!

    1.  Ron Paul more cash on hand than McCain, and also more than all of the other so-called "second-tier" Republican candidates combined!

    2.  Ron Paul has almost as much net cash on hand as Mitt Romney (to get that number, you deduct the $9 million of debt that the Romney campaign owes).

    3.  Ron Paul has been the number one most searched person on the entire blogosphere for the last three months straight per http://www.technorat...

    4.  Ron Paul has more than 4 times as many volunteers as Obama, 22 times more volunteers than Hillary, and hundreds of times more volunteers than Giuliani or Romney, per Meetup.com.  In addition, new Ron Paul volunteers is growing at a rate of 36 times faster than Obama, and 96 times faster than Hillary as documented at:

    http://www.meetup.co...

    5.  Liberty is becoming popular.  Ron Paul leads in polls of people who have heard him speak.  And it is still 5 months before the primaries, so there is still plenty of time for people who haven't yet heard Ron Paul's message to hear it.

    6.  Ron Paul has more cash in hand than seven other presidential hopefuls combined (Tancredo, Brownback, Huckabee, Kucinich, Hunter, T. Thompson, and Gravel).

    I support Ron Paul 2008!

Those six pictured are part of the 60 million who want a free America, one where we can be an example to the world.

Slightly misquoted! Great to see all the positive feed back on the article.

Just to clarify my quote in the article.

The bylaws of the Libertarian Party, do not allow the PARTY to endorse a candidate from another party.  The party is NOT preventing party members from endorsing Ron Paul.  As a matter of fact, every Libertarian that I know, supports Ron Paul.

Hope to see you all in Ames on August 11th.  If you need a ride, just email me:

    Thanks,

Good to see someone is starting to pay attention. I'm glad to see someone is starting to notice this Ron Paul campaign is for real.  The momentum is still in it's infancy compared to where it will be in a few months.

There's going to come a point where the media will no longer be able to ignore Ron Paul.  Not only that, but the American people are starting to wake up from a deep slumber and they are starting to become aware, as this happens this campaign is going to grow exponentially.

fair and balanced Regardless of who I support, and I am not Republican nor Libertarian, I thank for the detailed and accurate description of what happened at the debate with the Demagogue. And also the review about the Iowa campaign. This is truly great journalism.

Great article Thanks for covering this.  Giuliani doesn't have to answer any of the tough questions from the media.  Him and Hillary get a pass.

Don't forget thee chicken was there!!! Nice article, glad to see the coverage.
      Here's my first hand account........

As it happened I decided to grab a bite to eat Thursday afternoon at the Spring House Restaurant. Upon entering the humble little family restaurant I was asked by what seemed to be some kind of cult membership if I was there for the Giuliani gathering. Replying kindly, "no" I chose my favorite spot to sit. The famous "Presidential Seat". The very spot George Bush Jr. sat at when he visited the Spring House. Keep in mind this very seat has an elaborate plaque referring to Bush's having sat there.

So there I am in the "President's Seat" wearing my "BONG HITS FOR JESUS HAT", surrounded by suits and ties. Most of whom are on cell phones or lap top computers...camera's ready to go.

As I ordered my lunch I was shocked when the waitress informed me that Giuliani was actually going to be present and that this was not simply a gathering of his supporters.

As the Giuliani arrival grew near I began to notice a gathering across the street. It was the Ron Paul supporters and an anonymous individual putting on a chicken outfit. Now I'm getting quite a thrill, as are the customers. Nearly everyone began to cluster at the front windows to watch the Ron Paul folks and the "Chicken" person. Well, OK.....yeah some were watching for Giuliani too, but even they were watching the "Chicken" as it literally strutted to the parking lot of the Spring House holding a sign that said "RUDY BAULK" along with some comment about Rudy having not participated in the straw poll.

      Well

Good news coverage Nice to see some real news coverage that honestly and accurately reported what was going on. The article was well written. Thanks for doing a good job of covering this news.
  • michael · 2 years ago
Possibly the first in-depth Analysis of that Exchange, and I have to Agree I saw the debate and was surprised to hear people cheering for Giuliani when Ron Paul clearly had the soundest argument. Paul may be behind in the National polls, but Iowa always makes up her own mind.
  • ericdondero · 2 years ago
Latest polls have Rudy way out ahead. Paul slipping... Very latest poll out two days ago by ABC/Washington Post has Rudy Giuliani running away with the nomination up to 37%.

Ron Paul still hovering in Tommy Thompson/Jim Gilmore territory at 2%.

6 months into the race, and Republicans have said a message loud and clear to Ron Paul: We firmly reject your Surrender to Al Qaeda mentality.  We want to win this War on Islamo-Fascism.

Support a real Libertarian for the Republican Nomination.  One who doesn't want your wife/girlfriend forced to wear a black burqa from head to toe, or your gay friend having his genitals cut off, or booze and alcohol made illegal and free speech banned, under an Islamic Republic.

    Support Victory!  Support Giuliani!!

We are watching The Ron Paul supporters are watching Iowa with great hope and anticipation.  Here in Chicago and the suburbs we are working hard to promote Ron Paul.  Eventhough we can't participate in the straw poll many are going to support him.

We are hoping Iowa will start greater awareness of Ron Paul.
