The Iowa Independent: Lawyer: E-Verify encourages identity theft

"Eric Bord, a partner in the Washington, D.C.-based Morgan Lewis law firm, said that the government-run E-Verify program has the “perverse effect of encouraging identity theft.”

Let me just say that Eric Bond, as an attorney,, has his head up his *ss and doesn't know what he is talking about.

Companies are afraid to use E-Verify, becuase they know it works, and works only too well.

    BUILD THE LEGISLATED FENCE!!!

Less than 7 miles of the legislated double-layered fence were constructed as San Luis (Yuma sector) and stopped illegals cold, as you can see from the reduced number of Yuma apprehensions.

"“What [the raids] will do is focus employers on compliance in general, but E-Verify is an ineffective compliance tool because it doesn’t protect against identity theft,” Bord told reporter Mark Schoeff, Jr. of Workforce Management magazine".

Did I mention that Eric Bord has his head up his *ss??

Only an attorney would make such a stupid *ss statement. Sounds as if he is suffering from diarrhea of the mouth, and constipation of the brain. We can only hope it isn't contagious.

According to an analysis by research firm Westat, automatic verification of an individual's work authorization status occurs 94.2 percent of the time with E-Verify. Of the remainder, 0.5 percent of those with an initial mismatch resolve it successfully, leaving 5.3 percent as unauthorized workers.

"By the way, 90 percent of mismatches are folks who choose not to contest their mismatch. So really, the system works," Ratliff declared.

Well if you ask me I think this electronic data era put us all to the risk of identity theft. I hope things will not stay like this forever, we need more solid security and better credit monitoring because I have the feeling that things will go even worse than these if we don't stand for our own protection.
