This has been a major issue for a long time as Jonathan Kozol points out in "Savage Inequalities." The public-funding of schools has been dsicriminatory for decades and I'm amazed the ACLU hasn't challenged this systematically, state by state, and district by district.

I'm afraid of the answer, something to do with upper-class protectionism?

Re: CNN/YouTube Democratic Debate Liveblog

oh boy... Next question: "Have you had 'the talk' with your children?"

If my eyes roll much more, I might screw up the earth's tilt.

Re: CNN/YouTube Democratic Debate Liveblog

NCLB is so important for me personally My oldest daughter was in gifted and talented programs before NCLB... now the school district doesn't offer them. They are way too busy teaching the tests.

My youngest son who has a learning disability is also being short-changed. Because the school must focus so intently on the test, he cannot move forward with his IEP and tackle the things he needs to focus on most.

Re: CNN/YouTube Democratic Debate Liveblog

NCLB Richardson: Will the $40,000 minimum wage be adjusted for cost-of living?

Re: CNN/YouTube Democratic Debate Liveblog

Edwards He manages to mention his dad worked in a mill.

Re: CNN/YouTube Democratic Debate Liveblog

Oh boy, the first question yet about education.

Nice softball question.

When are we going to get to the meaty education issues that have been ignored thus far in the caucus debates.

Re: CNN/YouTube Democratic Debate Liveblog

What a fluff question Really - this question is bunk.
