  • Steve Fallon Why is that people express such fierce dissaproval of our nation's political outcomes when they keep repeating the same mistakes in selecting candidates?

Every four years we have a bunch of opportunists who push their way into the spotlight on the strength of nothing more than obscene amounts of money to capture the imagination of and mesmerize the public with quixotic pledges and plans which promise the moon and evaporate right after election day. The crafted image must give way to authenticity.

The American press is failing us, once again. They've been caught up in the gears as the machines continue to stamp out the sort of candidates who trade on subtexts as a means of blunting the edge of real scrutiny.

And, in my view, Hillary Clinton and Rudy Giuliani are the very worst of the bunch.  The only reason behind they lead in the "polls" is because the press conveniently neglects to mention the incontrovertible fact that the vast majority of voters--fully 60 to 70 percent--remain undecided.  We have become as the ancient Greeks, spinning Gods from myths and placing our destinies in the hands of what are nothing more than very elaborate fictions.

I like Joe Biden.  Joe Biden comes across as the sort of guy who would help his neighbor build a playhouse for his kids--and know just how to do it, as well.

Immensely knowledgable, deeply compassionate and committed, Senator Biden has earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues, the nation's governors and state legislators, and, most importantly, the very world leaders with whom our next President must engage and stay engaged, if there is to be any hope of restoring America to its rightful place in the world.

Joe Biden is balanced; he is neither too this or too that. And it is my firm belief that this country has long been ready for a President who will tell us the truth, challenge us, and have the experience and record of success to lead the way forward as we confront and overcome the deep divisions that have been a plague on our unity with a President in charge who is smarter and more able than any of his advisors, and can lead this nation always with his eye on the higher ground of equal justice for all.

On Iraq, Senator Joe's position could not be easier to grasp or embrace for all of our people.  And it can best be summed up in but a few words:  You protect our troops while you work on bringing them home, leaving in our wake an Iraq that is stable and at peace within its own borders.

Senator Biden's education plan is excellent in its pragmatism and hopeful in its outlook.  His plan for ending the war, by brokering a political solution amongst the major powers of the world, demonstrates a level of statesmanship this country has missed for well over 40 years.

If we do not elect this man our next President, than we shall get what such short-sightedness deserves; another 4 to 8 years of bickering, character assassination, dwindling hopes and respect, and stagnation.

  • Education is the key to progress and civility We must be aware and prepared, education is the center most need for a populace which is in control of thier Democracy and one whom is bamboozled by it elected officials...Joe Biden is the key to winning America back, he has the experience and the guts.
