  Some party faithful support Fallon Do you really believe the Register's endorsement of Fallon is some sort of payback for Boswell's refusal to debate? Still smarting over being busted for endorsing Steve King to appear more centrist, the editorial board more likely has seen what so many Iowa Democrats have: Boswell is an ineffective, inarticulate party hack. He hasn't offended many in Washington because he hasn't taken much of a stand. Send this hayseed back to southern Iowa to tend to his cattle, because the complexities of Medicare, the Iraq war and even an Iowa education system he so eloquently labels as "pretty good" are beyond his intellectual capacity. Not all of the party faithful support Boswell or oppose Fallon.

  Fallon will debate Schmett in the Fall "Boswell will probably learn his lesson and agree to debate Republican Kim Schmett in the fall."

  
  I disagree.  Boswell will not have the opportunity to debate Kim Schmett because he will not make it past June 3rd.  Boswell's time is up.  He could have done more in his 12 years in Congress.  He is ineffectual and should enjoy his retirement.

  June 3 surprise Since progressive activists of various sorts surely outnumber hardcore party activists, I predict a June surprise and retirement for Boz.

  I predict that bloggers will continue to be known as the most annoying and out of touch group of poeple on the face of the earth. A sippy cup seems to be beyond fallons intellectual capacity. Fallon couldn't even answer questions about biofuels and ethanol when proposed to him directly. Even you don't know about the biggest issue facing the state why should we send him to congress

  Boz the wise man? Realworld seems to have absorbed the Boz campaign's style of nasty & petty attacks.  Nice!  And you think one cannot come up with similar statements and attacks about the congressman you so seem to revere?  Luckily, Fallon's campaign and his supporters have been sticking with the issues.  But with Boz, we don't even know what the heck the man is thinking because he's not willing to discuss or debate issues.

  
  Re: ethanol & biofuels issues, if you are happy with the Farm Bureau & big ag official line on things, Boz is surely your man.  If the congressman was willing to talk to us voters, we could see if he actually knows something about the topic.

  RF out of touch RF I am going to assume that since Boswell his on the house AG committee and spent the last few weeks hammering out the farm bill with the senate that he is more knowledgeable on the subject then you and fallon who probably just read a few blogs and formed an opinion.
    I am personally thankful boswell isnt debating fallon that way we don't have to listen to fallon for an hour scream about stuff like a crazy man.
  
    Fallon is natorious for taking a position on something without forming his opinion based on any facts. He just runs around assuming things and claims to be a policy expert and acts like he is above everyone else. Thats why no one in the party likes him. He wasn't the most ineffective member of the iowa house in its history so why do we want to send him to congress? Even the register admitted that fallon hadn't achieved anything in his decade long stint in the legislature
